Carrington Executive Vice President speaks on technology, the luxury market and more

AUGUST 14, 2015 – ANAHEIM, CA — Carrington Real Estate Services, LLC (Carrington) was represented at the Inman Connect San Francisco 15 conference by Wendy Forsythe, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Operations for the full-service national real estate brokerage. This past week, Forsythe was a featured speaker and participant in several panels, sharing her expertise to help real estate agents take their business to the next level. A proven authority on real estate, technology and branding, Forsythe addressed converting online leads and the luxury real estate market, as well as examining the latest trends in technology and service.

Thursday, Forsythe moderated “Connecting with the Elite – Secrets to Working with Luxury Clients,” sharing the stage with Samantha DeBianchi from Million Dollar Listing Miami, Justin Fichelson from Million Dollar Listing San Francisco, and Joyce Rey, the executive director of Coldwell Banker Previews International. The panel shared their knowledge of the luxury real estate market, as well as how to connect to luxury buyers and how to market these unique properties.

Forsythe then went on to interview Deepa Sood, the co-founder and CEO of Cuff, for “Wearable Technology – A New Style.” The company creates wearable technology that may be particularly significant for addressing the safety concerns of real estate agents who are often alone with strangers during showings and open houses. Forsythe was pleased to introduce this solution to the industry. Cuff’s fashion-forward jewelry serves as a discreet alert system, and with a simple touch to a necklace or bracelet the wearer can send an alert with their location to a pre-designated recipient.

Cuff’s jewelry was just one of the latest advances in technology discussed at the conference, however. Online lead generation and conversion was another hot topic, and Forsythe was a featured speaker on the “Best Ways to Convert Leads” panel. Keeping up with today’s technology is critical for winning over today’s buyers, and Forsythe advised real estate agents with some of her best tips for capturing and converting online leads, including her number 1 recommendation: “Use text messaging.”

As the conference drew to a close, Forsythe helped wrap up the event with “The New Face of Affluence.” Her interview of Dwell Media president Michela O’Connor Abrams took a closer look at the luxury real estate arena and the buyers who will be the future of the high-end market. Dwell’s research examined the habits and expectations of millennials, who want a high level of service and attention to detail in return for paying commissions. Regardless of the cost of the home, however, trends are showing a similar expectation of service across the board. Today’s homebuyers want their agents to make them feel special with almost concierge-like levels of service.

A dynamic and versatile speaker, Forsythe was an in-demand presence at Inman Connect San Francisco 15. As an authority on the latest trends and technology, she represents Carrington’s new breed of real estate: connected, personalized service for every market, from distressed assets to luxury homes. With its commitment to training, technology and lead generation, Carrington Real Estate Services is leading the way for its agents to succeed in today’s real estate market.
