Houston Real Estate Firm Plans To Expand After National Partnership With Carrington Real Estate Services
Jay Raman, founder of Lion Real Estate Group, a Houston-based boutique residential brokerage firm, has partnered with Carrington Real Estate Services, LLC.
Jay Raman is a local businessman and owner of Ashoka Lion, a Houston-based property management firm. Several years ago, Raman founded a sister company, Lion Real Estate Group, which specializes in the inner loop submarket.
Raman, who oversees a growing team of agents, wanted to continue to expand his brokerage but didn’t know where to start.
Enter Carrington Real Estate Services, a real estate corporation with more than 30 offices and 1,800 sales professionals in 22 sates across the country. Carrington provides coaching, support systems, and lead generation tools to help local boutique firms like Lion Real Estate Group to grow their business.
“Inside the loop, there are a lot of boutique brokerage firms, but not a lot of big-box brands,” Raman said. “With Carrington expanding, we can grow our presence inside the Loop.”
Lion Real Estate Group will retain its name but receive real estate services from its new national partner. Carrington charges a nominal fee and referral fee to provide new consumer relationship management software, a lead generation system and coaching to help its local partner grow.
This is Carrington’s first merger with a local brick-and-mortar company, said Amber Carrillo, the company’s area vice president. Carrington hopes to partner with other boutique firms and agents in other Houston submarkets, including The Woodlands, Pearland, Galveston, Cypress and Katy.
“All real estate is local, so we want to have a presence in all those areas,” Carrillo said.
